I’ve Paid My Deposit — When Is the Balance Due?
Booked a big trip and already paid your deposit? 🎣 Nice work — you’re halfway there! Here’s everything you need to know about when your balance payment is due and how it’s handled automatically through swimbooker.
🪣 Deposits & Balances Explained
For larger or group bookings, many venues on swimbooker allow anglers to pay a deposit upfront and the remaining balance later.
The good news is that you don’t have to chase anything manually — the system and the venue handle all of this for you. 🕐
📅 When Will I Be Reminded?
Each venue decides when your balance is due and how you’ll be reminded.
They can set up:
1️⃣ A gentle reminder email — sent a few days or weeks before your balance is due.
2️⃣ A final urgent reminder email — if your balance still hasn’t been paid.
Both reminders are sent automatically by swimbooker on behalf of the venue.
🔗 How to Pay Your Balance
Each reminder email will include either:
-
Clear instructions on how to pay, or
-
A direct payment link if the venue has activated this feature. 💳
Simply follow the link in your email when you receive it — no need to contact swimbooker support to make payment manually.
If you wish to pay your balance early, we recommend contacting the venue directly. The venue will be able to trigger your 'Balance Email' early which will contain a link to make payment.
If the venue isn't using swimbooker for balances, they should be able to accommodate early payment of a balance via a bank transfer or alternate means.
⚠️ Important: Pay On Time
To avoid any issues with your booking, please make sure to pay your remaining balance as soon as you receive your reminder.
Venues rely on these payments to secure your spot — delays in payment could risk your booking being affected.
