I'm Trying to Pay for My Booking But I'm Having Issues With Bank Authorisations and Crashes
Common payment issues on swimbooker and how to solve them 💳🛠️
swimbooker handles hundreds of daily transactions across bookings, memberships, and shop items. With so many different banks, cards, devices and authentication methods, we’ve seen a few common issues come up from time to time. Here's how to troubleshoot and get your payment through smoothly.
⚠️ Common Issues & What You Can Do
1. Bank Authorisation Freezing / OTP Not Arriving
Sometimes there's a delay or failure between your bank and our secure payment provider. If your bank’s OTP (one-time passcode) doesn’t arrive or the screen freezes:

Try again later or use a different card if you have one available.
2. App vs. Web Checkout Conflicts
Some banks use unique authorisation methods that don’t always play nicely with mobile apps.

If you’re having repeated issues, try switching to the web version of swimbooker via your browser (on desktop or mobile).

If issues persist, contact your bank to confirm there are no blocks on your card.
3. Incorrect Payment Details or Autofill Errors
If you’ve mistyped your card number, expiry date or CVC, your payment will fail.

Try typing manually instead of using browser autofill, which can insert outdated info
4. Poor Signal or Connection
If you’re on the bank with patchy signal, your payment might time out before processing.

Make sure you're connected to a strong Wi-Fi or mobile data network when checking out.
⏳ What Happens If Your Payment Fails?
Don’t panic — your booking isn’t gone!

We reserve your swim or ticket for 15 minutes after a failed payment

During that time, it will appear unavailable to others

After 15 minutes, the spot will automatically become available again so you can retry
💡 If your swim looks booked but you didn’t pay successfully, wait 15 minutes and try again.
